Haas' 2017 challenger passes crash tests

– Haas' new Formula 1 challenger has passed the FIA's mandatory crash tests.Formula 1 will enter a new era of technical regulations in 2017, with cars expected to be four to five seconds per lap faster than 2016, due to revised aerodynamics and much wider Pirelli tyres.Haas joins Toro Rosso and Force India in confirming that it has cleared the hurdle.Haas, however, has not yet confirmed a launch date for its 2017 car."It will likely mirror what we did last year with a digital launch just prior to the first day of testing and a physical unveil of the car before on-track running," said a team spokesman.Formula 1 pre-season testing will begin next month, with both sessions...
