India applies to extradite Mallya from UK

– India has applied to the UK to extradite Force India team boss Vijay Mallya.India's government has made the request shortly after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) advised extradition, with Mallya facing charges over conspiracy and fraud following a loan."We have handed over the request for the extradition of Mr Vijay Mallya, as received from the CBI, to the UK High Commission in New Delhi," said Vikas Swarup, spokesman for the Ministry of External Affairs."We have an extradition treaty with the UK, and believe we have a legitimate case against Mallya."Mallya is accused of diverting money intended for his now defunct Kingfisher Airlines."About Rs...
