Pirelli expects one-stop Australia race

– Formula 1 tyre supplier Pirelli is expecting a one-stop strategy to emerge as the favoured approach by drivers for the season-opening Australian Grand Prix.Pirelli entered 2011 with the task of constructing tyres which degraded rapidly, forcing drivers into making multiple stops, though this drew criticism from some quarters.For 2017, Pirelli's mandate has been changed, with the company requested to produced longer lasting tyres, enabling drivers to push over the course of a stint.Drivers encountered little degradation during practice at the Albert Park circuit, where tyre wear is comparatively low, despite Pirelli bringing the Ultra Soft compound, a step softer than its 2016...
