Massa leaves F1 comeback open-ended
Felipe Massa says he could well stay in Formula 1 beyond the end of the 2017 season, should he have the right ‘opportunities’ in the category. The current edition of Motorsport.com's GP Gazette magazine features an in-depth look at Massa's shock comeback, with a behind-the-scenes look at the Brazilian's short-lived retirement from Formula 1. Having been lured back to the sport after Williams lost its star driver Valtteri Bottas to Mercedes – a knock-on effect from Nico Rosberg retiring at the end of the 2016 season – Massa opens up about how it was circumstance that led to his decision to retire, not a burning desire to stop competing in F1.
