McLaren wins F1 raft race in Canada

– McLaren emerged victorious during the return of Formula 1's Raft Race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Saturday evening.Under the sport's new owners, Liberty Media, the race at the former Olympic Rowing Basin, situated adjacent to the paddock in Canada, was resurrected.Each entry was given 45 minutes in order to build a raft, with seven team members permitted, and the bulk of the Formula 1 field submitted a squad.Ross Brawn and Sean Bratches also spearheaded separate teams, as did the sport's governing body, the FIA.McLaren, which featured 2008 Olympic silver medallist rower Tom Stallard on its team, stormed into an early lead across the first width, before safely negotiating...
